Yulia Sergeeva, winner of the ELI’s Young Lawyer Award 2023, has completed an internship at Interleges member Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh in Rotterdam as part of her prize.
Yulia writes about her experience now-
‘In March 2024, I completed an internship, which was kindly arranged by Interleges, at Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh in Rotterdam.
It has been an incredibly enriching experience and a true pleasure to intern under the kind supervision of Irene Tax, Ruben Leeuwenburgh, and the whole team.
During my time at the firm, I was immersed in the fields of corporate litigation and commercial contracts and litigation, among others. I got a chance to work on mezzanine facilities and intercreditor agreements, attend an arbitration hearing, and prepare several research memos on different topics.
The team was always extremely supportive, and I enjoyed the warmest atmosphere in the office.
I would like to greatly thank Interleges and Windt Le Grand Leeuwenburgh for this opportunity and support and encourage all young practitioners to seek out similar experiences!’
Yulia Sergeeva is in her third year studying LLB International and European Law at the University of Groningen
